Gauhati University release link Online Application for PG Admission and Schedule of Entrance Test . This is information of all concerned that the schedule of the PG Admission process for the session 2018-19 has been prepared below.
Eligibility :
Following are the general eligibility conditions for admission into various courses. However, in many courses a student can be admitted even if s/he has a Bachelor or Qualifying Degree in a different subject. The detailed mapping of the subjects are implemented in the Online Admission Process, where the applicant will be able to choose the courses which will be available for a particular Qualifying Degree.
You can also see specific eligibility conditions, if any alongside the disciplines. Note that the following eligibility conditions will be valid ONLY if there are no specific eligibility conditions mentioned.
MA and MSc Courses :
Any of the following (if otherwise not specified)
- BA / BSc in the 10 + 2 + 3-pattern with Major / Honours in the concerned subject.
- BCom in the 10 + 2 + 3-pattern with at least 40% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in aggregate in the General Course
45% marks will be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in Part-I & II for courses in 2 + 1-pattern and on the basis of marks obtained in Part I, II, & III in case of 1 + 1 + 1-pattern.
MCom Course :
Any of the following (if otherwise not specified)- BCom in the 10 + 2 + 3-pattern with Major course.
- BA / BSc in the 10 + 2 + 3-pattern with General / Pass Course subjects with at least 45% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in the concerned subject.
Admission Fee :
Following are the fee, which is to be paid at the time of admission, which generally includes tuition fee for the first semester and other initial fees.
